Mr. Haitham Al Refaie’s career spans over two decades in financial services, corporate governance, and commercial and SME banking, most of it in the UAE and the GCC in general. Prior to co-founding Tawreeq Holdings, Mr. Al Refaie led the Business Banking Group at the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD). While at NBAD, he was responsible for crafting the Business Banking Group’s vision and strategy and oversaw implementation of best practices and corporate governance standards. Mr. Al Refaie served previously as Executive Manager at Invest Bank for over ten years, where he was heavily involved in restructuring risk and credit policies. He has also held senior positions at other leading banks, including Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), Citibank and HSBC.
